A joint research team led by Professor Takashige Omatsu, Chiba University and Associate Professor Quan Sheng, Tianjin University has demonstrated the optical skyrmion generation by employing a spin-orbit conversion control approach in a single q-plate foregoing the need for expensive digital devices and complicated interferometers.
The results of this research were published in the international journal ‘Laser and Photonics Reviews’ on November 17, 2025.
